Introduction
The idea of being one among the designing brains behind the huge hovercrafts seen on lands and seas have always been one of the dreams of a budding mechanical engineer. Just buckle up and bring forth your design quotient. Malla Reddy Engineering College presents the ultimate hovercraft design competition. Design a RC hovercraft capable to knock its way out through any terrain. Bring on the gaming devil inside you, beat the hell out of the friction. And there you go! What are you waiting for? Come be a part of the event and showcase the hidden 'engineering'
prowess in you.
To design a hovercraft or ACV (air cushion vehicle) that will be tested for speed,manoeuvrability and handling on various terrains like sand, mud, water, gravel, grass.It requires the participant to build a radio controlled hovercraft that could complete the specified track in the least possible time.
Rules and Regulations
1.The maximum dimensions of the model allowed are 70cm x60cm (lxb).
2.A team can consist of a maximum of 5 members.
3.Teams should bring their own remote controls, but they must operate at 2.4 GHz.Radios with any other frequency are prohibited for use during the event.
4.There is no limitation on the type or no. of motors or servos that can be used.
5.Only one member of the team is allowed to run the hovercraft during the event.
6.Event management's decision will be final in case of any conflicts.
